LEADERSHIP

Elders & TRUSTEES

Elders

Our church recognises the biblical importance of having more than one church elder (shepherd, pastor or overseer) of God’s people. Our elders oversee the pastoral care, discipleship (growth) and outreach of Peak Trinity.

Trustees

As a charity, Peak Trinity have trustees who are responsible for our legal governance and safeguarding. The trustees are our elders and may include a number of non elders.

Deacons & Other Leaders

The elders are supported by other deacons and leaders. Deacons have key leadership responsibilities for both the practical affairs and regular activities of our church.  These include areas of care, outreach and administration.  Deacons are individuals who the Holy Spirit has qualified to serve in this role, and who demonstrate the gifting, character and conduct described in Acts 6:3 and 1 Timothy 3:18-13.

Treasurer

Mark Farrar

finance@peaktrinity.org

This deacon significantly supports the elder led vision with respect to the management and distribution of financial resources, in line with our annual budget and constitution. If you would like to support our work financially, then please do reach out to our treasurer directly.

Administration

Andrea Barkley

andrea@peaktrinity.org

This member of staff (part-time) significantly supports the elders and trustees with respect to the day to day running of our church - they are usually the first point of contact. This leader also significantly supports the elder led vision for investing in and reaching out to younger children and their families.  Therefore, they take responsibility for the development and effective delivery of our Sunday School curriculum.

Youth

Kerry Hutchinson

This leader significantly supports the elder led vision for both the development of our own youth and outreach to the youth in our wider community.  They have an active role in the leadership of the LMCU (Christian Union) and other church-led youth initiatives (e.g. youth time and youth group).

Homegroups

We currently have five mid week meetings - they usually involve meeting for a meal and time of encouragement around the Bible:

HOMEGROUP 1

Tim & Helen Chester

HOMEGROUP 2

Gareth & Elizabeth Blundell

Tony & Mary Fry

HOMEGROUP 3

Mark & Cheryl Farrar

Kerry & Harry Hutchinson

HOMEGROUP 4

David & Heather Moss

HOMEGROUP 5

Rob & Claire Scothern

These deacons and leaders significantly support the elder led vision to serve the practical and spiritual needs of a dispersed congregation.  These deacons help cultivate a culture of hospitality, discipleship, prayer and evangelism.  They also help mobilise the elders and church family, in order to ensure people are cared for in a time of difficulty (e.g. visits by the church and elders and/or the timely utilisation of our hardship fund).

Sung Worship

Claire Scothern

This deacon significantly supports the elder led vision for sung worship.  This includes managing the process of updating our song repertoire and selecting (and if necessary) preparing musicians and singers to serve on Sundays.

Women

Elizabeth Blundell & Helen Chester

These deacons significantly support the elder led vision for a women’s ministry.  They, therefore, help cultivate relationships and mutual support across our church family.
