keeping people safe

God calls his people to care for each other and for those around them, and so our church aims to be a place of safety and refuge for all people, of any background, whatever they have done or whatever has been done to them.

Safeguarding is the term we use to describe all we do in order to create this safe place for people – from our policy setting out expectations for all those in contact with children or adults at risk, to setting a culture where concerns are listened to and acted on, through all the specific procedures we have to protect the more vulnerable from harm.

If you are in immediate danger then call 999, or if you need to speak to someone about a current safeguarding issue urgently, contact our safeguarding team.
